Roadford Watersports-South West Lakes Trust, Roadford, between Launceston & Okehampton map ref LR190 421900. Located on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston with over 730 acres of water, Roadford is the largest inland water in the South West.Over the years the facilities at this lake have grown and during 2005 the Trust will be opening its brand new visitors centre and function suite. The refurbished Lakeside Restaurant opened in 2004 with a friendly service and great value for money it's a lunch not to be missed. The new visitors centre (opening July 2005) will display a weatlh of interactive information detailing the heritage of the Wolf Valley in which the lake now lies. Group visits and indviduals are most welcome. With just a 5 minute drive from the A30 the new function suite can cater for large bookings including conferences, celebrations, weddings and much more. Across the water is the Angling and Watersports Centre. Offering excellent brown trout fishing and provision for sailing, windsurfing and kayaking.
